I'm Alexandra, and I'm so glad you're here.
About Me
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, and I run Well Bee Counseling from my home in Georgia. I hold licenses in, and serve clients in Washington, Louisiana and Georgia 100% online.
I received my training in New Orleans, Louisiana after graduating from the University of New Orleans, a CACREP-accredited counseling master's program in 2018. My early work has been focused on recovery from substance use disorders. I have worked in nearly all levels of care in addiction treatment, including: residential rehabilitation, intensive outpatient programming, and outpatient (individual therapy). Since 2020, I have worked entirely remotely from home, treating clients in virtual therapy sessions. I have trained in specialized approaches to treat PTSD, anxiety, and OCD to add depth to my work in counseling.
My goal with my clients is to create a safe, reflective space where you can explore your experiences, gain insights, and develop effective strategies for healing. I believe in using humor, warmth, learning and skills training, and deep reflection in therapy. Whether you’re new to therapy or have experience, I’m here to support you in overcoming obstacles and finding relief.
I was raised in Colorado by parent's who hail from New Orleans and Massachusetts. I ended up finding my career and passion in New Orleans where I attended college and grad school, and through the need during the pandemic, I pursued my license on the Pacific Coast. I have a giant-breed dog, two cats, love video games and art, reading, riding my bicycle, being in nature, and spending time with my partner and step-children. I also attend therapy for myself (as all therapist should!)
